Dear Friends and Family,
Please come check out the newly redesign pages of the site of Caroline A. Doucette's  original watercolor paintings.  As the year speeds past us toward the upcoming holidays, I have found a new material that is a real pleasure to work with.  Watercolor canvas - a special canvas made especially for painting watercolors on..  It does not change my style or the way I work.  The finish product still has the rich deep colors and the depth and strength as my previous paintings. However, an additional feature for the canvas is that it can be varnished and framed without mats, and without glass.  With this canvas you will no longer be shut out of one of my deliciously  juicy, florals that invite you to come on in and explore the depth of a watercolor world.  I have done one flag "Honor's Sake" and a clematis and some back lit asters and a grouping of bright sunflower all done on this canvas, varnished and framed with a lovely newly selected frame to enhance these paintings.  You can view these paintings on the New Painting page.  There will be more to come as I have almost completed a  painting on canvas of green choke cherries.  I also have two more paintings sketched out to beginning this week.  For those who prefer the paintings on paper and under glass I haven't given that up yet.  I have lots of watercolor paper still and I'm not one to waste perfectly good stuff.  So here's to choices and to variety.  Here's to the change of seasons and the coming of the holidays.
